Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GlobalVoice (the "Service"), provided by EdgePredict LLP ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

GlobalVoice processes live speech captured from your device's microphone to provide automatic language detection, translated captions, and optional synthesized (dubbed) audio playback in a language you select. The Service is provided as a standalone web application and as an add-in ("tab") for Microsoft Teams.

2. Consent to Capture Audio

You are solely responsible for obtaining all consents required by applicable law before using the Service to capture, process, or translate speech in any conversation, call, or meeting - including consent from other participants where their speech will be captured. Do not use the Service in any meeting or conversation where you do not have the right to do so.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Capture or process anyone's speech without the legally required consent;
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third party's rights;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying infrastructure;
• Use the Service in any way that could harm, disable, or overburden it.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on Microsoft Azure AI Speech and Azure OpenAI to perform speech recognition, translation, and speech synthesis. Your use of the Service is also subject to Microsoft's applicable terms and privacy commitments for those underlying services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services we rely on.

5. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Translated captions and dubbed audio are generated by automated systems and may contain errors - do not rely on the Service for translations where inaccuracy could cause harm (e.g., medical, legal, or safety-critical communications).

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
